The Q1000 Multi-Wavelength Multi-Frequency Resonating laser can be programmed with up to seven therapy modes.
The following three modes are built-in and common to all Q1000s:
Mode 1: Anti-Inflammation and Pain ReductionMusculoskeletal inflammation, general inflammation, infection. A stimulating mode. I use this for pain relief, acute or chronic injury, over the sinuses for colds, skin lesions, etc. This is a stimulating mode. |
Mode 2: Unwinding and RelaxationEnhances grounding. Use over adrenals, occiput and sacrum to normalize sympathetic/parasympathetic nervous systems. Good for preparing the body for unwinding or craniosacral therapy. Also good for precursor to Mode 1 because it calms and opens the tissue prior to stimulating cell regeneration. Can be used for heart conditions and ADHD. This is an entrainment type mode which gradually calms the area under treatment by starting at an elevated modulation frequency and, over the three-minute treatment period, gradually reduces the modulation ending at the Schumann resonance frequency. By using this mode over the adrenal glands they, in turn, also relax the whole body. |
Mode 3: Organ and Immune System BalancingClears pathogens. I use this one a lot for organ balancing with visceral manipulation. I actually have the client supine and place the laser over the organ and unwind with my hands simultaneously from underneath the body. This technique also works well to free stubborn iliopsoas and sacro-iliac joints. |
The Q1000 Multi-Wavelength Multi-Frequency Resonating laser can be programmed with up to four additional therapy modes. There are almost an infinite number of different programs possible however, the following modes are the most commonly requested modes. We include these modes in our all of our Q1000s — including those in our Therapist and Massage Packs — unless you request a custom, special order configuration.
Lymphatic Drainage StimulationExcellent for moving lymph — Dr. Lytle suggests built-in Mode 3 for lymph clearing in the Laser Users Manual, but I find this one works better. Great for colds, infections, viruses — placing the laser over subclavian area, axillas and groin for 1-3 minutes in each location. From The Laser Therapy Handbook: "Laser energy [also] has a regenerative effect on lymphatic vessels, as it has on veins." 14 studies cited. As a result of its demonstrated effectiveness in clinical settings, we include this mode in both the Therapist Pack and the Massage Pack configurations.

Nerve RegenerationI’ve been getting excellent results with peripheral neuropathies placing the resonator head over the specific area of paresthesia and combining this with the using the 660nm Enhancer on acupuncture points as suggested in the Low Level Laser Users Manual. From the Mayo Clinic: "Your nerves provide communication between your brain and your muscles, skin, internal organs and blood vessels. When damaged, your nerves can't communicate properly, and that miscommunication causes symptoms such as pain or numbness." From The Laser Therapy Handbook: "The regeneration of damaged nerves is one of the most promising indications for laser therapy. Rapid pain relief is a good verification of the laser effect." Over 20 studies cited. As a result of its demonstrated effectiveness in clinical settings, we include this mode in the Therapist Pack.

5HT SerotoninDeeply relaxing. Great over temples for 1-3 minutes for sleep disorders and depression. Pain relief. Normalizes the connection of the pain receptors to the central nervous system. From Wikipedia: The Free Encyclopedia: "In the central nervous system, serotonin is believed to play an important role in the regulation of anger, aggression, body temperature, mood, sleep, vomiting, sexuality, and appetite. Low levels of serotonin have been associated with several disorders, namely increase in aggressive and angry behaviors, clinical depression, Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), migraine, irritable bowel syndrome, tinnitus, fibromyalgia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. "Various drugs are used to modulate the 5-HT system including some antidepressants, anxiolytics, antiemetics, and triptans. A variety of psychiatric medications affect serotonin levels, including the monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs), atypical antipsychotics, the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and amphetamines. Recreational substances such as MDA, MDMA, and MDEA also affect serotonin levels." From The Laser Therapy Handbook: "Laser therapy increases serotonin levels." Eight studies cited. As a result of its demonstrated effectiveness in clinical settings, we include this mode in the Therapist Pack.

Cosmetic/Skin ModeUsed for all skin condition including acne, blemishes, and scaring. This can also be used as a follow-up to mode 1 treatments to treat rashes. This is the same mode as mode 2 in the Q10 Resonating Laser but with the additional power and larger treatment area provided by the Q1000. |
