WORKSHOP:
Low Level Lasers: What They Are, How They Work,
and How to Use Them
September 26-27, 2008
Fort Collins, Colorado
Perhaps you’ve heard of cold lasers, soft lasers, or low level laser therapy. Physical therapists, chiropractors and dentists are using them in their practices for healing musculoskeletal injuries and pain management but these powerful and gentle tools can do so much more.
Attend this two-day seminar and experience these effective tools. You will learn hands-on techniques using lasers including treatment for jaw conditions, mobilizations for the neck, as well as protocols for edema and balancing the adrenal glands. You'll learn about how lasers can be used for many other conditions besides musculoskeletal injuries as well.
You’ll find out how lasers can help you increase your effectiveness in your work, reduce wear and tear on your own body, and if you're a therapist, build your reputation and your practice. If you're not a therapist, you'll learn ways to treat yourself and your family — probably in ways you didn't realize were possible.
After completing this workshop, you will...
- Understand the basic physics of lasers
- Know the difference between lasers and LEDs and when and where each may be appropriate
- Understand how lasers interact with living tissues including the connective tissue grid – the working medium soft tissue techniques
- Know a simple approach to spinal mechanics and ways to safely evaluate and treat spinal dysfunctions using lasers and joint mobilization
- Know the basic evidence supporting the use of lasers for many conditions
- Understand the principles of frequency medicine and how use the Q1000 laser to entrain balance in several systems
